A Level 2 charger is a 30–60 amp continuous load — one of the biggest circuits in your house. We start with a load calculation: many homes take a charger easily, some need load management, and a few genuinely need a service upgrade first. You get the honest answer before anything is bought.

Cold matters too. We spec charge rates and wire sizing for real winter demand — preconditioning at −20° is exactly when you want headroom, not a tripping breaker.

Every brand, indoor or out

Hardwired or plug-in, garage wall or exterior post mount, any major brand. Outdoor installs get in-use covers, proper conduit, and mounting that ignores snowbanks. We’ll also point you to the current NYSEG / National Grid and NYS incentives that apply before you buy hardware.

What an installation includes, end to end

Every charger install starts with the load calculation — the honest answer about what your service can support — and ends with a commissioning test against your actual vehicle. In between: the dedicated circuit sized for continuous load (EV charging is the definition of a continuous load, and the wire sizing rules are stricter for it), the mounting and weatherproofing suited to the location, the permit, and the inspection.

We configure the charger too — Wi-Fi setup, charge scheduling for off-peak rates where your utility offers them, and load-sharing configuration when two EVs share a service. You plug in that night knowing the whole chain, from the panel bus to the connector, was engineered rather than assembled.

Chargers for camps, rentals, and businesses

A growing share of our charger work isn't at primary homes. Second-home owners want to arrive Friday to a car that can precondition all weekend. Short-term-rental hosts have discovered that a listed Level 2 charger books winter weekends the competition loses. And lodging and retail properties are adding guest charging as the amenity arms race moves north.

Each has its own design wrinkles — durable hardware and simple guest access for rentals, separate metering where owners want usage tracked, and for commercial sites, the make-ready and load-management design that keeps demand charges civilized. We do all of it, and the regional utilities' incentive programs frequently help more than owners expect.
