Cameras, card readers, and door hardware are electrical systems wearing a security badge. They need proper cabling, proper power, and someone who will document how the whole thing is wired — which is exactly the work an electrical contractor should be doing.
Access control, done as a building system
Access control touches more of a building than people expect: readers and controllers, door position switches, electric strikes and maglocks, request-to-exit devices, power supplies with battery backup, and — critically — the fire alarm interface that releases locked doors on alarm. Get that last one wrong and you have created a life-safety problem in the name of security.
We install it as the coordinated system it is: door hardware working with the electrical, the credentials working for the people who use them, and everything documented so the next change is a service call rather than an investigation.
Cameras that are actually useful
The difference between a camera system that resolves an incident and one that produces unusable footage is placement, lighting, and storage — decided at design, not after. We site cameras for the sight lines that matter, account for the lighting conditions they will actually face, and size recording and retention to what you need to be able to look back at.
Everything rides on the structured cabling we install, powered over Ethernet where it makes sense, with the switch and power infrastructure sized for it rather than improvised.
