Solar Installation.
Solar works in the North Country — when it’s designed for the North Country. Snow loads, shading from real trees, short winter days, and net metering all belong in the math. We design and install PV systems with honest production numbers, and handle the interconnection as licensed electricians.
Designed for here, not for a brochure
A solar quote built on statewide averages is fiction in the Adirondacks. We model your actual roof orientation, shading, and snow behavior, then show you production month by month — including the January reality — so the payback period you see is one you can trust.
Roof-mount or ground-mount, grid-tied or battery-ready: the electrical backbone is ours end to end, from racking bonding to the interconnection application with your utility.
Incentives, handled honestly
Between the federal credit and NYSERDA programs, incentives still move the economics substantially — but programs change, and we quote against what’s actually active when you sign, not what a sales script remembers. As electricians first, we also make sure the panel and service are genuinely ready for the system.
Why an electrician-led solar install is different
Most solar problems aren't panel problems — they're electrical problems: interconnections done to minimums, panels feeding services that needed upgrading first, rapid-shutdown and grounding details treated as paperwork. We build the electrical backbone of a PV system the way we build everything: to be opened and admired by the next electrician, not just to pass a commissioning checklist.
Being local and diversified matters here too. A solar-only company needs to sell you solar this quarter. We're your electricians either way, which is why our production models include the January truth and our "it doesn't pencil" letters are as common as our proposals. When we do recommend a system, it's because the math survived honest scrutiny.
From site visit to switch-on
The process: a site assessment with real shading analysis; a design with month-by-month production modeling for your actual roof and utility; the incentive paperwork (federal credit, NY-Sun, and your utility's interconnection application) handled by us; installation with licensed electrical work from racking bond to panel; and commissioning with monitoring set up on your phone.
Timeline honesty: the utility interconnection approval is usually the long pole, not the construction. We front-load that paperwork so the install lands as soon as approval does — and you generate through the summer that sold you on the idea, not the one after.
